PROCESS DOCUMENTS

Great process documents are important to the development process. I prefer a rapid prototyping approach by which the design and develop process are completed simultaneously. This enables, more readily, the collection of feedback from customers and stakeholders throughout the entire creation process.

Storyboard

When working strictly as an Instructional Designer, a thorough storyboard for the developer, is vital to ensure efficient use of time by all stakeholders.

This example uses PowerPoint enabling me to maintain all pieces of the plan and design in one file. However, I have used a variety of tools for working through the design phase.

Rapid Prototyping

This course on beekeeping used rapid prototyping, rather than using a traditional storyboard design first approach. I used PowerPoint to house all content as I worked through brainstorming, planning, designing, and developing the course. It showcases my thought processes as well. It includes all research, media, and scripts. The final product was deployed with the PowerPoint add-on iSpring. The first URL includes all content; plan, design, and developed scenes, to glimpse the process in its entirety.

Project Planning

This project planning example I have used previously to layout the long term strategic vision for the year. Often I used it as a revolving view of what was planned for the learning and development roadmap for future quarters. On tab two there is an example of a high level plan for the year.
